Travel hairstyles

Keeping up with your hair while traveling can be tricky: You want to look your best for photo ops, but you also don’t want to pack a bunch of heavy styling gear. (Toting a hair dryer, straightener and curlers across Europe? No, thank you!)

That’s why I’ve rounded up some lovely, low-maintenance hairstyle ideas for when you’re traveling. Enjoy!

Hair wraps are a trend I’m absolutely LOVING lately. They’re so cute, and this how-to post from Keiko Lynn shows you how to make one with a silk scarf (which just happens to be an ultra-versatile, lightweight travel accessory). Wins all around. This hairstyle is great for an airplane ride, when you want to throw your hair up in a no-fuss bun, but still look polished.

A perfect no-heat curls tutorial from The Paper Mama. I’ve tried this one and absolutely love it. All you need is an elastic headband and a little hairspray. This one works best for longer hair.

Short-haired gals, I haven’t forgotten about you! This simple and elegant twist from The Beauty Department is quick and easy, plus it’s easy to do with damp hair when you’ve just hopped out of the shower. Just pack some bobby pins and hair spray (and maybe a cute clip to accessorize), and you’re good to go!

This last one is also a tried-and-true favorite, from one of my favorite lifestyle blogs, A Beautiful Mess. All you need for this hairstyle is some scraps of cloth, a comb and some water. This guest post from Katie Shelton gives instructions for rag-rolling your hair, a sweet and simple way to get some gorgeous curls.

I never travel with out my dry shampoo….. especially if I’ll be overseas and staying in hostels where the showers leave a lot to be questioned on sanitation standards!

So glad you’re joining us for Blog Brunch on Saturday! Looking forward to having you!

Amy, I totally agree! Suave dry shampoo is one of my can’t-live-without products, whether at home or on a trip!

Can’t wait till Blog Brunch this weekend! :)
